Rob has been working professionally for over 20 years, within both industry-facing contexts and educational training arenas. 

As a musical director, Rob is an accomplished conductor, having worked in choral and orchestral settings as well as MD and musical supervisor for a multitude of musical theatre productions. 

Rob has been an educator throughout his working life, specialising in higher education. He spent nine years as Head of Singing at The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (School of Acting) during which time he developed and ran a well-respected Foundation in Acting course. Prior to this, he ran a successful Musical Theatre degree programme. He has seen many graduates from these courses move into incredibly rewarding and successful careers. His wealth of experience has allowed Rob to be an academic advisor and consultant to an assortment of educational providers which specialise in performing arts training.

Rob runs a private singing practice, working with clients from across the performing arts sector, no matter what their background, experience or motivation. His passion is to empower and enlighten individuals and work according to their specific needs in a way that suits them and their unique vocal set up. 

As a composer, Rob has written original material for a range of genres in addition to having an extensive catalogue of vocal and choral arrangements to his name. 

Being a very collaborative person, Rob has enjoyed a diverse range of projects over the years with a great mix of people, whether as a singing specialist on international retreats, cast installations on cruise ships or as a pianist in improvised comedy routines for chocolate companies.
